Basalt

Basalt is a custom installation subwoofer designed to reinforce smaller Elementi speakers from the ‘Fire’ and “Air’ ranges or as ‘LFE’ in smaller rooms. With its slim design, it is ideal to be mounted behind screens or around the perimeter of the cinema to reinforce and even out the bass response throughout the cinema. We also recommend this subwoofer as perfect for bass-steering applications. This subwoofer uses a 12” Neodymium ultra-low distortion driver with 3” voice coil for low power compression. Its energy is focused to produce high SPL and flat frequency response from 30-150Hz and then roll-off down to 25Hz. Basalt comes with a resilient mounting system to ensure that no vibrations transfer from the subwoofer directly into the structure of the cinema, further ensuring tight and clean bass at all times.

All Elementi subwoofer are fully digital and benefit from floating 32 point DSP processing, digital crossovers, FIR filters with correction in the frequency and time domains, look forward speaker protection, high flow PASCAL amplifiers and high quality D/A converters. All amplifiers are specified with 3dB of headroom at maximum output to ensure there is no clipping or general distortion. Each speaker is custom tested and run in to ensure optimal performance out of the box.

Onyx Slim

Onyx is both a custom installation and inroom subwoofer designed to be the primary LFE subwoofer or to balance room modes when used with the larger Obsidian subwoofer. With two available configurations, it can be mounted behind screens or around the perimeter of the cinema to reinforce and even out the bass response throughout the cinema or placed under the screen. This subwoofer uses a 15” Neodymium ultra-low distortion driver with 4” voice coil for low power compression and will handle 2400W of amplifier power. Its energy is focused to produce high SPL and flat frequency response from 30- 150Hz and then roll-off down to 20Hz. Onyx comes with a resilient mounting system for the onwall version to ensure that no vibrations transfer from the subwoofer directly into the structure of the cinema, further ensuring tight and clean bass at all times.

Obsidian

Obsidian a large inroom subwoofer designed to be the primary LFE subwoofer in larger Home Cinemas or where extended low frequency presence is desired. This subwoofer uses an 18” Neodymium ultra-low distortion driver with 4” voice coil for low power compression and will handle 3000W of amplification. Its energy is focused to produce high SPL and flat frequency response from 30-150Hz and then has minimal roll-off down to 20Hz.

Kola

Kola is the deepest hole on earth and a fitting description of this ultra-low subwoofer. Kola is a 24” custom made infinite baffle subwoofer and only available as part of a fully engineered Wavetrain Cinema project. The subwoofer needs to become part of the cinema structure and therefor part of the overall cinema design. The Kola driver weights in at almost 30kg and has a linear excursion of over 50mm. A pair of these properly setup in most cinema rooms will produce a frequency response between 10-100Hz.

Iridium is both a custom installation subwoofer designed to be the primary LFE infrasonic subwoofer or to balance room modes when used with the larger Kola subwoofer. It can be mounted behind screens or around the perimeter of the cinema to reinforce and even out the bass response throughout the cinema or placed under the screen. This subwoofer uses a 15” ultra-low distortion driver with 2.75” voice coil for low power compression and will handle 1000W of continuous amplifier power. The Iridium is a true infrasonic subwoofer with 28mm 1-way linear X-Max and will extend down to 10Hz with unrivalled power

in a compact sealed box. Iridium features a custom engineered inert box with dampening to reduce internal resonances. This subwoofer is the perfect choice for double bass array systems. Iridium comes with a resilient mounting system to ensure that no vibrations transfer from the subwoofer directly into the structure of the cinema, further ensuring tight and clean bass at all times.
